Location: Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee accounts payable and treasury accounting functions, thereby ensuring quality assurance of data generated and safeguarding tax administration assets
Generate periodic and ad hoc financial reports from data generated by the department
Prepare annual budget for revenue and report actual performance against forecast on a monthly basis
Ensure optimal use of technology to achieve departmental objectives
Oversee performance management of team members
Identify team member training needs and work with HR to fill gaps
Responsible for the preparation of EKIRS financial statements in accordance with International Public Accounting Standards (IPAS)
Ensure compliance with the processes and procedures put in place to accomplish the tasks of the service
Ensure that all key processes within the unit are properly documented, key risk areas are identified and mitigating controls are in place and continuously monitored
Minimize the impact of cash transactions
Provide all necessary cooperation to internal and external auditors.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or any other related discipline
ICAN or ACCA or its equivalent
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
Experience in tax administration will be an added advantage.
Skills :
A seasoned user of accounting and reporting software
Above average Excel skills. Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
